Course Description

This program is for candidates who have industry experience and are or will be managing or coordinating teams. Participants are required to demonstrate their capacity to undertake the requirements of this diploma qualification and to have the support of their employer (where appropriate).

Ideal for

Managers. Job roles and titles vary across different Industry sectors.

Training and Employment Pathways

This qualification can be completed:

  • As described in this Learning and Assessment Strategy, which typically reflects the role of individuals who have vocational experience and are engaged in a managerial capacity but do not hold formal supervision management qualification.
  • Through achievement of the BSB40807 Certificate in Frontline Management or other relevant qualification(s),
  • Through providing evidence of competency in the majority of units Frontline Management or other relevant qualification(s).

This program for candiates who have industry experience and are or will be managing or coordinating teams. Participants are required to demonstrate their capacity to undertake the requirements of this diploma qualification and to have the support of their employer (where appropriate).

Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. Examples of indicative job titles relevant to this qualification include:

 

  • Frontline Manager
  • Supervisor
  • Team Leader
  • Front Desk Manager
  • Divisional Manager
  • Business Unit Manager.

The Trainer/Assessor will advise participants of further employment options and articulation into higher levels of training during the delivery of this program.  This includes, upon achieving the BSB51107 Diploma of Management, the option of undertaking the BSB60407 Advanced Diploma of Management, or a range of other advanced Diploma qualifications.

Course Structure

Qualification Rules
 
Total number of units = 8

  • 5 core units from the core units listed below plus
  • 3 elective units

The 3 elective units may be selected from the core or elective units listed in the RPL Guide (upload below) -  the BSB07 Business Services Training Package or any other currently endorsed national Training Package. If not listed below, 1 unit may be selected from either a Certificate IV or Advanced Diploma qualification.

Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level.

Units selected from other Training Packages must not duplicate units selected from or available within the BSB07 Business Services Training Package.

This program is offered in a flexible delivery format.  A training plan is developed with you and you have options of group workshops, mentoring on and or off the job, online learning using Ipad and or PC's. IBT also offers  Recognition of Prior Learning; Assessment only or a combination of all of the above.

Materials Fee: Hardcopy printed materials $25.00 per unit

Duration: Flexible, Online or 12 months structured training

Training options: Mentoring, online and/or structured training workshops

Assessment options: RPL, assessment tasks, mentor reports
